State Government’s announcement of an extension to the lockdown for metropolitan Melbourne, Football Victoria (FV) confirms that all Football/Futsal activities in metro Melbourne will be suspended until 11.59pm Thursday, June 10.

This includes all metropolitan Melbourne organised competitions, practice matches & training sessions, refereeing training sessions, in-person referee & coaching courses, Futsal competitions and training, events and Gala days, Talent ID and FV elite development programs.  We are in communications with FV to understand the rescheduling options for the two postponed rounds in metropolitan Melbourne.  As soon as we know, we will be communicating these to you.

It is not the news that we wanted to hear and like most of our community, I’m sure you are missing being out on the park playing football.  Like most of you, I’m sure your backyards and lounge rooms have transformed into soccer goals like mine has with kids practicing drills and shooting or you have got out to the park for a kick.  We would like to see what you have been up to and I urge you to post videos to your groups on Team App.

The committee and support crew are hard at work on rescheduling any events we had planned and we are developing engagement activities to keep you all engaged with the club.  Stay turned for further information on this.

The latest lock down is not ideal, especially after a great start to the season that the Club has had, however we are confident that we will get back to playing soon and that we will be able to complete a whole season with all games being rescheduled.

Please all stay safe and I look forward to seeing you very soon at the club.
