Keilor Park SC Sets Ambitious Vision for the Future
Club president Ben Di-Lorenzo sits down with Australia’s leading online publication for the football industry Soccerscene, to talk about what’s in store for the 2025 season and the exciting plans for the future of Keilor Park Soccer Club.
Keilor Park Soccer Club is embracing a bold vision for growth, building on its strong community roots and rich history dating back to 1957. Originally founded with Austrian heritage, the club has transformed into a diverse and inclusive football hub in Melbourne’s north-west, now home to over 630 registered players—nearly 40% of whom are female.
At the heart of Keilor Park SC’s identity is its commitment to inclusivity and participation. The club continues to lead with innovative programs like Go Soccer Mums and Go Girls, creating accessible pathways for women and girls to engage with the sport at all levels. “We’ve never had to try to be diverse—it’s been part of who we are,” says President Ben Di-Lorenzo.
Strategic partnerships with Brimbank City Council and Football Victoria have supported the club’s growth, but challenges such as limited space remain. With new programs rolling out at junior and MiniRoos levels, the club is investing in advanced coaching, stronger governance, and long-term player development. A major milestone this year will be the 25th anniversary of the Keilor Cup, one of Victoria’s largest community football tournaments.
Looking ahead, Keilor Park SC has its sights set on competitive success and broader community inclusion. With new sponsorship from Kia Australia and ambitions to expand into all abilities football, the club is focused on becoming a total football club—one that fosters talent, embraces diversity, and continues to serve its community at every level.
